The comprehensive focus recognizes the continuing growth of endovascular surgery in office settings and likewise meets the needs of institution-based physicians who see patients with a variety of venous issues. The Second Annual CCSVI Update Symposium

July 15 – Patient and Caregiver Education Day
July 16-17 –
Physician course
Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, New York

Course Description: Worldwide attention continues to focus on chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI). A growing number of medical professionals believes that outflow obstructions in the veins that drain the central nervous system are associated with the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Relieving such blockage could potentially improve the quality of life for many who suffer from MS. Patients and physicians are seeking knowledge about the indications for, and the rationale behind, a new treatment for the problem. Physicians who work with MS patients or who specialize in endovascular therapy will want to hear the latest information. In just the past year, much new evidence has come to light even as the debate has heightened. The second annual CCSVI Update Symposium will bring together the experts – including Dr. Paolo Zamboni, M.D., originator of the CCSVI theory, and an international faculty of investigators and clinicians – to review relevant data and share firsthand accounts.
Course Director: Salvatore J.A. Sclafani, M.D.
