THE NUMBER OF VENOUS CASES IN INDIA is increasing exponentially and it has become clear that venous thrombosis, varicose veins, and other venous diseases are as problematic here as anywhere in the world. The Venous Association of India (VAI) was formed so that we can focus on this disease just as other countries are doing.
VENOUS History
In 2004, several of us began thinking about forming an association of physicians and other healthcare professionals who have a special interest in venous disease in India. Our hope was to model this association after the American Venous Forum, the European Venous Forum, and other phlebological societies.
